To Crawl from the trash, to the bed

Well I went off to the Toxic Thurday, and I must admit it was a good show. Not as many people as I was thinking there would be but then later in the evening there was more than I thought would show, so I guess that it works out. Kudos to the Dj's which were about as interchangable as my left sock.
I would and will again, that is all that can really be said about that. Night world!

Great show last night
Jan. 26th, 2006 | 05:29 pm
My ears are still a little stunned from all the bands that played.
I think I am going to make a point to go out to as many shows here in town as I can, as I love them many much and it's good to get out to something more than a cougar club full of locals and pedophiles who are hitting on people who look like they are 14 but are actually 30 *shudders*
Anyway back to reality and out of my twisted head.
So the show, as posted on Slackbocks, we Got to see Farenheit and I have happily picked up all the albums they had for sale at the show.
We also got to see a band from Trenton - Motion Picture ending I do believe, as well as Back against the wall
I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Mind On Fire
Jan. 24th, 2006 | 11:57 pm
Scattered night, came home from work hellbent for organization or some semblance of order, ripped out a couple poorly put together riffs on the Nova before switcing to the Gibson for a wee bit.
Then as I was clearing space on my computer table I stumbled across an old leather bound book with ugly brown pages that I had promised I would write in 17 pages torn out of the front and nothing but nonsensical Drivel throughout it from a time where I was sketchier than I am noe... So I decided to add in a blurb, As now seen on Slackbocks as the new main page... no worries kiddies it's not there for good, I just really needed to make a change.
From autumn to Ashes - Cherry Kiss / Chloroform Perfume

Sucha Great weekend! Many Much happenings, READ: A whole lot of nothing in a good way.
Thanks to My Sweets for picking me up after work, despite being fashionably and predictably late *grins* But we were able to get to the LCBO in time before it closed, and despite my infraction agains the liver last weekend I ended up replenishing my alcohol collection, with full intent on consuming it in moderation. Of which we did before walking over to the show at the Cinema. Polarbers = Yummy... although I would have preferred clubbing seals to shooting polar bears.
We ended up Catching the Tail end of The Cheshire Smile Myspace Link *pun intended* Good People them, And a Really good show. I made a point to pick up a CD.
After that we ended up consuming some Nach's and some DAMN GOOD FRIES over at the Old Stone.
So after that it was back home to do nothing but watch movies and worry about lost rings... and despite coming close to doubling back to the old stone and close to shedding tears it turns out that the ring in question... was in and itself in a VERY questionable place... so more freaking out ensued... from total saddnes to happiness and utter confusion. "how is this... But... No.... I totally have to post this to LJay!!" I found myself saying.
So beyond that the only way to explain the next many hours would be as follows: Sleep, Movies, more movies, a frozen car, an extension cord, a thawed car, Underworld: Evolution *shakes fist and having to pay*, then food, and then MORE SLEEP.
Ah such healhty uselessness!

Stuff and things
Jan. 20th, 2006 | 04:27 pm
For what it matters, I am back and I will be posting as often as I can... Ny absence has been for many reasons the majority of which would be me working on my own personal website http://slackbocks.net Although most of the work has been behind the scenes with me geeking out on my powerbook.
So As for what has been missed / New Years - Niagra, Brian Falling off the face of the planet, Grassroots show, Drunken Slurred AMF@#M$ADSF <- yeah that drunk, and then here we are... I'll do what I can to get that stuff posted.
SO As for the plans for the future, Tonight it's going to be show at the Cinema Number of stuff on George, basement, movies, munchies and other unsundry things and then sleep all day tomorrow...

Well as always some things fall to the wayside... but just to keep people up to date it comes down to a severe lack of heat, hopes of promotions, helping old friends trough even harder times, worrying about money as always... working on my chainmail and my website and many other various projects *cough*frankencouch*cough* and replacing fuses after having every electronic in the house running off the same circuit...
So it's a Quarter after 3 in the morning... and I am le tired.

Just one of those nights.
Oct. 23rd, 2005 | 12:46 am
mood:
frustrated
*twitch* Reality has a terrible habit of bearing it's teeth and opening your eyes to so many things... I'm sitting here watching The Corporation IMDB and I also happened to swing by Slashdot to see 'We have tried our best to negotiate with Roche, it means we have shown our goodwill to Roche and we appreciate their patent. But to protect our people is the utmost important thing'. All this in response to the breakout of a Bird flu Virus in Taiwan.
This is very troublesome when you have more information available to you... What kind of world is it where We have a cure, which you also have but because we have a little piece of legal paper, and because we hold that you cannot create the drugs you need to cure your populace... Now I am not an activist.. I am not much of anything really but I must admit this disturbs me to no degree...
There is soo little that we know so I say let us learn. I'll be having a Dvd at my place, We'll be viewing The Corporation, and any other informative movies in whatever format depending on what people bring.
The date is yet to be announced but still this seems at least one step closer to be knowing what to do.

ITUNES!>!>#$@@!
music: Another Pill - Cold
Itunes 6.0 cool right? yeah it has video yeah it has a better music store....
What sucks is that once again they have changed the method by which they implement the DRM / Fair Play and once again the music that own can only be played in itunes, and even the songs that I purchased from the store a while back are now (for the moment) unusable on third party Mp3 players.
My greatest thanks to the makers of JHymn and it is my hope that they come up with a fix for this soon *grins*

iTunes 6.0 Warning
It appears that if you make any purchases using iTunes 6.0, from that point on you must
use 6.0 — and then JHymn won't work for you either. JHymn will have to learn how to
perform the iTunes 6.0 protocol before this problem is likely to be fixed -- so hang on, it could be
a bit of a wait.
In the meantime, you may wish to delay upgrading to iTunes 6.0 so
that you can continue to free your music until a new solution is found.

"caffeine is bad for you, no wonder you can't sleep" so is smoking and forcing yourself to sleep more than your body can handle, so fuck you... says my internal monologue as I grab another coke.
Elbow deep in computer guts chatting with old friends... HATING CENTIPEDES and wishing that everything would just work, or that I was telekinetic...

music: Bend The Bracket // This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) by Chevelle
Just another one of those nights where everything reminds you of everything else, and where nothing can go right.
Here in a basement wishing I could dig a hole in the walls and hide there within the dirt and rubble away from it all.
A comfortable space is hard to find and the memory of it gets farther and farther away it seems.

So, the plan for tonight. To Drink to conquer and to gimp around on the computer in the basement and then to watch some movies (as always) and maybe if I'm lucky get some sleep, although I have a feeling that I'll be getting home to killing bugs and making the basement a little more liveable, maybe even at the cost moving all my electronic shit to the other side of the room and lots of vacuming... maybe I'll post some pictures...!?

Well back to the place of squalor and bad memory... I have the joy and pleasure of heading back to Chemong and the old apartment in all it's filth and glory...
Nobody knows just how much I hate it there and how much I dread going back... but it's a necessary evil it seems. Ah the things we do to get back what we leave behind Toaster oven, Clock, Futon, tables...
I should sleep... *twitch* yeah...
